Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how PalStop handles information when you use our website, ScorePal and related services.

Last updated: 2 September 2026

1. Who we are

PALSTOP LTD ("PalStop", "we", "us" or "our") is a company registered in England and Wales.

PALSTOP LTD Company number: 17433683 66 Paul Street, London England, United Kingdom, EC2A 4NA support@palstop.com

If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or how your information is handled, you can contact us at support@palstop.com .

2. What this policy covers

This Privacy Policy applies to the PalStop website, ScorePal and related services provided by PALSTOP LTD.

It explains how information may be handled when you:

  • visit the PalStop website;
  • use ScorePal;
  • contact us for support;
  • use match sharing or importing features; or
  • interact with other services we may introduce.

3. Information stored within ScorePal

ScorePal is designed so that its core scoring functionality and match information can be stored locally on your device.

Depending on how you use ScorePal, locally stored information may include:

  • player names;
  • team names;
  • match information;
  • scores;
  • match history;
  • current or unfinished games;
  • app settings;
  • custom game or sport information; and
  • other information that you choose to enter.

This information is primarily stored on your device and is used to provide ScorePal's scoring, history and match-management features.

You should only enter information into ScorePal that you are entitled to use.

4. Firebase Analytics

ScorePal uses Google Firebase Analytics to help us understand how the app is being used and how we can improve it.

Firebase Analytics may process technical and usage information such as:

  • app interactions and events;
  • device type;
  • operating system;
  • app version;
  • general usage information; and
  • technical identifiers used by the service.

We use this information to understand general app usage, improve ScorePal and identify areas where the product can be improved.

ScorePal is designed so that player names, team names, locally generated participant identifiers and user-entered match text are not deliberately included within our configured Firebase Analytics events.

5. Firebase Crashlytics

ScorePal uses Google Firebase Crashlytics to help identify and diagnose crashes and technical problems.

Crashlytics may process technical information including:

  • crash reports;
  • device and operating-system information;
  • app version;
  • technical diagnostic information;
  • the part of ScorePal being used when an error occurred; and
  • other technical information necessary to diagnose faults.

This information is used to improve the reliability and stability of ScorePal.

Our Crashlytics configuration is designed not to deliberately send player names, team names, locally generated participant identifiers or free-text user content as crash-report context.

6. Advertising

ScorePal may include advertising for users of the free version in the future.

If advertising is introduced, PalStop may use Google AdMob or another advertising provider.

Advertising providers may process information such as:

  • device information;
  • advertising identifiers;
  • advert interaction information;
  • general technical information;
  • consent choices; and
  • other information required to provide and measure advertising.

Where required by law, users will be provided with appropriate consent choices before relevant advertising technologies are used.

ScorePal Pro is intended to provide an ad-free experience.

We will update this Privacy Policy as necessary when advertising is introduced.

7. Match sharing and importing

ScorePal may allow you to share or import match information.

If you choose to share a match, information relating to that match may be packaged into a shareable format such as a file, link, QR code or another supported sharing method.

Match information is only shared when you choose to use a sharing feature.

When you share information using another service, such as a messaging, email or file-sharing application, the privacy practices of that service will also apply.

Once information has been shared with another person or third-party service, how that recipient subsequently handles the information is outside PalStop's control.

8. Support communications

If you contact PalStop for support, we may receive and process information including:

  • your email address;
  • your name, if you choose to provide it;
  • the content of your message;
  • device or app information you provide; and
  • any screenshots or other information you choose to send us.

We use this information to respond to your enquiry, investigate problems and provide customer support.

9. Our reasons for processing information

Depending on the circumstances, information may be processed because it is:

  • necessary to provide a service you have requested;
  • necessary for our legitimate interests in operating, securing, supporting and improving our products;
  • necessary to comply with a legal obligation; or
  • processed with your consent where consent is required.

10. Service providers

PalStop uses selected third-party technology providers to operate, maintain and improve its services.

These may include Google services such as Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics and, if introduced, Google AdMob.

These organisations process information in accordance with their own privacy terms and applicable data-protection requirements.

11. International data transfers
